Visualising the D major scale

The D major scale uses the first black note from both group one and two. You don’t play the white notes on the left of both groups. The D major scale uses all the white notes except F and C. The note F# was used in the previous key of G, make sure you memorise the order in the circle of fifths, this will help you visualise scales.

The western major scale has the following finger interval placement

When playing the scale, focus on the following fingers and say them out loud as explained in the video.
