Composition - Lyrics
We're going to continue our song composition from the previous lesson Composition 3. We'll begin to add lyrics to our song and match the syllables of words with the pitch and tone we create with our mouth. The tone is created with manipulating our mouth cavity, this will depend on the person and key signature chosen. You'll learn some common techniques to help develop your vocals and teach you how to sing in pitch.
You're welcome to participate in the video comments and I'll possibly use your suggestions in the coming videos.
More information is in my book, "The Secrets To Playing Music By Ear - The Akousunesis Method",
Key Signature: C Aeolian
The song skeleton is going to create a structure for the song, the first thing we want to do is choose our first melody note. These notes may change and evolve as we develop our song. Let's start sad, but how sad? We can determine this by the our choice of lead melody note.
This is what we got up to from the previous composition video. All chords are in the key of C except E major. We decide to anchor to the note B over three chord progression Am, C and F producing a sad emotion.
